Yes, trust yourself to be able to learn what you need to learn, to take risks to accomplish what others may think is foolhardy or impossible. Master Hawkersmith (known as Bunny to all) started his martial arts training in 1974.  He trained under Master Kim in 1974 located in Huntsville, AL then continued his training under Master Soung Eui Shin.

Bunny became Master Shin’s FIRST black belt recipient in the UNITED STATES at the World Tae Kwon Do Federation meet in 1977. He continued to rapidly progress and achieve in Tae Kwon Do. Master Hawkersmith has trained many levels of our Government official’s and law enforcement in hand to hand combat and weapons defense.

1988 traveled to Seoul Korea to test for his Masters Degree in Tae Kwon Do. (5th Dan/Black) While at the Olympics in Seoul Korea gave his professional guidance and support to the TKD athletes

1988 traveled to Japan to compete in Tokyo Open Martial Arts Championships Invited back in 1989 by the Korean Tae Kwon Do Olympic Committee for the World TKD games Asked to host the 1989 TN Jr. Olympic Championships Won many martial arts championships as a competitor during martial arts career Hosted TKD tournaments in home town for charity in coordination with local Rotary Club Conducted many martial arts demonstrations for schools, colleges, corporations and special events Taught in-service training for law enforcement officials of all branches on weapons defense and disarmament Trained district attorneys, circuit judges, sessions judges, city judges and other legal officials in self defense Trained with country music stars and movie stars and martial arts stars over years in the business Trainer of MMA team that is presently undefeated President of the United Fighters Alliance an organization that was created to  unite all MMA training facilities United Fighters Alliance MMA Fight For Honor held Nov. 7 2009 special guest star appearances by a host of models, TV and movie stars

Accomplishments:

His school has won over 100’s of awards and championships. Two of his students won gold medals at the USA Junior Olympics.

In 1988 he was named “Instructor of the Year” for Tennessee by the Tae Kwon Do Association for the southeast United States and his school was named “School Of The Year” in Tennessee.

In 1989 Master Hawkersmith was asked to host the Tennessee Junior Olympics and honor that can never be diminished.

Recognized by the state of Tennessee House of Representatives.

Today he holds the highly respected sixth degree black belt.

Bunny opened the studio in 1980 and has been teaching in the same location for 29 years.
